QUETTA, Pakistan (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A terrorist of Lashkar-e-Janvi was killed when the explosives he was carrying went off near the Imambarghah Mohammad Baqar (A.S), situated in the area of Hazara town in Quetta, no loss of innocent life have been reported.“The man wanted to place the explosive material in Imambarghah Mohammad Baqar (A.S) in Hazara Town. It is reported that the suicide bomber was 25 to 30 years old.Limbs and pieces of human flesh were found 35-40 yards away from where the explosion took place.“Around 3kg explosive materials were used in the explosion. The nature of the blast and condition of the body indicate that the man was not a suicide bomber,” an official of Bomb Disposal Squad said.The explosion left a three foot crater in the ground.A heavy contingent of police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel reached the site after the blast and cordoned off the area.Police found a wallet from the site, which contained a National Identity Card belonging to a Pervaiz Elahi, a resident of Dera Allahyar.The Shia population of Quetta has been targeted regularly in the recent past, with over 60 members of the community killed during the last two months.Earlier in September, at least 29 Shia pilgrims were killed when their Taftan bound bus was ambushed by a group of armed men near Mastung district.Several Shia religious gatherings have been targeted in different parts of the country over the past few months.Meanwhile, Taliban-linked militants across the country have killed thousands of Shiite Muslims in few years.Taliban’s influence is also rapidly increasing its grip on the major cities and even the so-called settled areas in the country.Shia sources say they make up one-third of Pakistan’s population of nearly 170 million.
